Hurricane Ike, turned everything upside down!

I want to start by saying how unbelievably lucky we were to be so far west of the 'eye' of the hurricane, so atleast at my house the damage was slim to none. Power was restored approx 36 hours later.
The landscaping in our front yard & back all had a lean/tilt as well as our longest side of exposed fencing. Not bad! Dan had it all fixed up within a day.

Clownig around and enjoying the nice calm before the storm wather w/ cousins, Niki & Kevin.

The sky was changing rapidly. It was all pretty neat looking as Ike rolled up to our shoreline.

This is one of our blooming bluebonnet bushes. I was afraid I wouldn't see the flowers after going to bed, so I snapped a shot. The were remarkably okay due to being in a back yard location.
These last 2 shots are to show you the infamous gas station lines. This one doesn't appear to be too bad. You may notice that the whole 'Sonic' sign was blown out (above).

:) Sleepy, Matthew!

Matthew loves to play with his daddy! He gets all tuckered out!

He was happy to wake up and eat some pizza!

Matthew playing with Lori's daughter, Reese!

Lori & I have been friends since the 1st grade!
